YAMANASHI · PRIVATE DAY TRIP

A Mount Fuji private tour,
at your own pace.

Plan your Mount Fuji day tour around the views, stops and pace that suit your group, with your own private driver from Tokyo.

A Mount Fuji day trip from Tokyo is a chance to slow down beside the water, explore a traditional village and look for the mountain from several different angles. The Fuji Five Lakes area suits travellers who want scenery and photography without changing hotels. A private car connects the stops while leaving you time to enjoy each one on foot.

Start and finish at your Tokyo hotel, or tell us your preferred meeting point. The route below combines Lake Kawaguchi, Oshino Hakkai and Chureito Pagoda. It is a starting point for your own Mount Fuji private tour: choose fewer stops for a relaxed day, or make photography the focus with an earlier departure.

PLACES TO DISCOVER

Discover
Mount Fuji.

Choose the places that matter to you. These highlights help shape your personal route.

Mount Fuji and the shore of Lake Kawaguchi

Lake Kawaguchi & Oishi Park

The northern shore of Lake Kawaguchi offers open views towards Mount Fuji. Make time for a lakeside stroll around Oishi Park, looking across the water rather than rushing from one photo stop to the next. The scenery changes with the season, and the mountain may disappear behind cloud. A clear morning can be especially rewarding; flower displays depend on the time of year.

The red Chureito Pagoda with Mount Fuji beyond

Chureito Pagoda

Arakurayama Sengen Park frames Mount Fuji with a vivid red pagoda. Reaching the upper viewpoint involves an uphill walk, so allow time for the climb and for other visitors. Tell us if stairs are difficult for anyone in your group. This stop can be replaced with another lakeside viewpoint, giving you a scenic day with less demanding walking.

Official visitor information
A spring pond and traditional roofs at Oshino Hakkai

Oshino Hakkai

Oshino Hakkai is known for eight spring ponds and its village setting beneath Mount Fuji. Walk between the ponds, pause by traditional buildings and browse the small shops. It makes a different kind of stop from the broad lake views. Keep the visit unhurried, especially when the narrow paths are busy, and leave room in the day for a local lunch.

BEFORE YOU GO

Make the day
work for you.

Fuji visibility is weather dependent, even on a booked tour. Clear skies and the snow line cannot be promised; we can discuss a route that still offers worthwhile lake and village stops when the mountain is hidden.

Spring blossom and autumn foliage periods can bring heavy traffic and crowds. The sample times are planning estimates, and the final order may change. This route explores the area around Mount Fuji; it does not include climbing the mountain or a guaranteed Fifth Station visit.

Ask for a Private Sedan, Private Van or Private Big Van suited to your party. Include the number of adults and children, luggage, children’s ages and any special requests. Vehicle availability, inclusions and the final price are confirmed in your quote.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Your Mount Fuji
day trip.

Ask us about your plans
Can I visit Mount Fuji from Tokyo in one day?

Yes, the lake and village area can form a Tokyo-to-Tokyo day trip. Plan a full day and choose a realistic number of stops; the final duration depends on your Tokyo address and road conditions.

Is Chureito Pagoda suitable if I want less walking?

The upper viewpoint involves a climb. Tell us about mobility needs and we can prioritise lakeside viewpoints and adjust the route before quoting.

Can I combine Mount Fuji and Hakone?

Ask us about your priorities first. Combining both areas usually means a longer day and less time at each stop; the model route here focuses on the Fuji lakes area.
