KANAGAWA · PRIVATE DAY TRIP

A Yokohama private tour,
at your own pace.

A Yokohama day trip from Tokyo brings you to a different urban landscape: open water, broad promenades and a skyline built around the harbour. It is a good choice for travellers who enjoy architecture, food and a day that can move easily between sightseeing and shopping. The private car journey begins at your Tokyo hotel and ends there after your chosen stops.

The classic route combines Minato Mirai, Red Brick Warehouse, Chinatown and Yamashita Park. For a different mood, request a later departure and make the illuminated waterfront the final stop. A Yokohama private tour can be shaped around a leisurely lunch, family interests or time for photographs.

The Minato Mirai skyline and Ferris wheel reflected in Yokohama's waterfront

Minato Mirai

Minato Mirai gives Yokohama its recognisable waterfront silhouette, with the Landmark Tower, the sail-shaped hotel and the Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel. Enjoy the skyline from the promenades and choose a short walk that suits your group. A ride or indoor attraction can be discussed separately; this route does not assume access to any particular observation deck or facility.

The historic Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse beside its open courtyard

Red Brick Warehouse

The historic Red Brick Warehouse buildings now offer shops, dining and a broad outdoor courtyard beside the waterfront. They are worth visiting for the architecture as well as for browsing. Leave time to look back towards the harbour and walk around the exterior. Events and markets can change the atmosphere, so any specific exhibition or seasonal event should be checked for your travel date.

Colourful architecture and street details in Yokohama Chinatown

Chinatown & Yamashita Park

Chinatown adds vivid gates, decorated facades and plenty of lunch possibilities to the day. Tell us whether you want a sit-down meal or time to explore the streets and small food stops. Afterwards, Yamashita Park offers a quieter waterfront walk nearby. The park's harbour setting makes a good final pause before travelling back to Tokyo.

work for you.

Waterfront attractions are spread across several walking areas, even when the car connects them. Tell us if you want shorter walks or more breaks. A family route can prioritise open spaces and one chosen activity instead of extended shopping.

Meals, attraction tickets and parking arrangements are clarified in your quote. For park information, consult the official visitor guide. Individual shops and facilities have their own opening days; the final itinerary will be checked against your date.

Official park information

Ask for a Private Sedan, Private Van or Private Big Van suited to your party. Include the number of adults and children, luggage, children’s ages and any special requests. Vehicle availability, inclusions and the final price are confirmed in your quote.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Your Yokohama
day trip.

Ask us about your plans
Can I visit Yokohama from Tokyo in one day?

Yes. Minato Mirai, Red Brick Warehouse and Chinatown form a focused Tokyo-to-Tokyo day trip. Your hotel address and traffic affect the final timing.

Can I stay for the night views?

Yes, request the afternoon-and-evening version. A later start lets you enjoy the illuminated waterfront before returning to Tokyo at an agreed time.

Can I combine Yokohama and Kamakura?

Tell us your priorities. Both can be discussed in a custom route, but combining them reduces time in each place. The classic course here focuses on Yokohama.
